5 Festive and Fun Holiday Apps to Use This Season

Christmas is almost here!  Are you ready for it?  Does the thought of gift shopping and sending out holiday cards stress you out?  If it does, allow me to recommend a few holiday apps that can make this holiday season stress-free.  Managing family drama not included.

Elfster

Secret Santa is definitely one of the best holiday traditions, but if your friends and family aren’t meeting in advance to pick a name out of a hat, the Elfster website is a helpful tool that promises to keep the names a secret.

Here’s how it works:

Elfster will organize your party and gift exchange. As the organizer you set up the exchange, input money limits, sign up and exchange dates, and create an invite to send to guests. Once they accept and all guests are accounted for, Elfster “draws” names and then emails your guests letting them know who they need to shop for.  There’s a few websites out there, but after trying this tool myself, I think its one of the best ones out there. Visit their website to kick off your Secret Santa exchange: www.elfster.com

Martha Stewart Makes Cookies App for iPad and iPhone

Want to make holiday cookies, but can’t decide which one’s to make?  Martha Stewart Makes Cookies has 50 of Martha’s favorite cookie recipes, step-by-step baking videos, and one-of-a-kind packaging tips to help you make the best Christmas cookies on the block this year.  Yup, she even has her own cookie app.  I need to work on my own someday!  Unfortunately this app isn’t free, but its a good app to have for $4.99 on, iTunes.  You know, this could even be a good gift for the baker in your life.

Touchnote: The Best Postcards & Greeting Cards

If you have a busy schedule like I do then you know that sending out holiday cards is chore.  Its always a battle between the BF and I, he says we write them, I say lets digitize!  Which is why I prefer to send my greeting cards this year through Touchnote.

Here’s how it works:

Touchnote makes it easy to send out greetings cards all year round, nit just for the holidays.  All you do is take your favorite photo, create a personal message and add the address.  Touchnote takes care of delivering it for you.  Postcards can take 2-5 working days to be delivered and can cost anywhere from $3.98-5.98 depending on your location.  They do give you a discount when sending in bulk.  You can download Touchnote app here:  www.touchnote.com

Sing Along Christmas Carols Free

Do you love singing traditional Christmas Carols, but can’t always remember all the words? Or simply wish you knew more carols to sing? Then you’ll enjoy this Christmas Carol karaoke-style app. You and your friends and family can brush up on your carols or take it door-to-door to bring friends and neighbors Christmas cheer. Actually nobody does that in SoCal, maybe in other states?  This app will provide hours of family fun. You can download the Sing Along Christmas App here.

iGive Gifts

Do you have a huge holiday shopping list and can’t keep track?  iGive Gifts helps you track your gift ideas, received gifts, upcoming events, and, most important, your holiday budget. It’s the perfect companion to help keep you organized this holiday season and throughout the year.  You can download iGive Gifts app here.

Special app features include:
