App of the Month: The French Lunchbox – One French Recipe Made For You Every Week

Some of you may know I’m big fan of anything French.  French wines, French desserts, Parisian lifestyle, you name it, I want to try it.  So I recently came across this new app that caught  my interest called The French Lunchbox.  It features recipes like Croque-Monsieur, a Salade Niçoise, a Jambon-Beurre, an Omelette, and a Coq-au-Vin to make for lunch.  The french recipes are created once a week and shared by two foodie sisters – Mathilde in Paris and Solène in New York.

It appears the app is fairly new with it’s first simple version aiming to create a community of people who share a pleasure for French lunch.  The first recipe seems effortless and made out of seasonal ingredients that anyone can find in their grocery store.

 What to expect

The French Lunchbox celebrates the simple food of French regions, valuing the meaning of keeping tradition alive, and sharing it through this app with those ready to give up snack and taste the flavors of France.  Sounds pretty fabulous to me, don’t you think?

Here’s what to expect from the app:

I’ve already fallen for the first featured recipe, Croque-Monsieur with Cheesy Bechamel Saunce.  Need I say more?

Be aware this is a new app and it’s still in beta, the female founders are looking for feedback.  So if you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to post below.  In the meantime, if you do decide to try the recipes, make sure you tag me on your tweets and Instagram posts as I would love to see how it turned out!
